Finally tonight, here made in America and to a headline that might have you asking why did it take so long. As of this weekend the Pentagon must now by American flags made in America. Our made in America journey as we drove across this country wondering where all those American flags were made. So many of them without labels. Viewers sending videos. This one from Nebraska. Their bunting made in China. One person told us he knew of U.S. Flags made in this country. Perhaps you can highlight anan. We did. Population, 11,000. We knew we were getting closer. Flags on mailboxes, even the silos painted red, white, and blue. This time there was something different on the flags. Labels. An American flag made in America. Made by Americans, for Americans to fly by Americans. Reporter: All the way back to the civil wars, welder wars I and ii that was their flag. And that moment on the moon. One small step for man. Reporter: And tonight there could be additional orders coming his way because the Pentagon may now only by American flags made in American. There was already a law requiring to buy made in this country. Materials originating here. But flags were not included. The policy in effect says American flags and their components must be made here. Congressmen Mike Thompson of California. Our defense department will never again spends American tax dollars on a U.S. Flag made overseas. Many of you at home checking the labels already. Seeing sales on the rise. 50,000 flags a day. More than 5,500 an hour. We did the math. That means they're producing 93 American flags a minute at their peak. And by the way, your tax dollars will be buying American flags made in America too.
