Damon Weaver reported on his hometown of Pahokee, Fla., a community torn by gang violence.

How to Help Omar Samaha Fight Gun Violence:

Omar Samaha's sister was killed in the Virginia Tech school shooting.

Angel Fund: The Angel Fund web site honors the memory of Reema Samaha and explores those issues that contributed to the tragedy at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007.


Students for Gun Free Schools: Omar launched an online campaign about the dangers of guns on campus.


Protest Easy Guns: This group works to promote stricter gun laws and supports background checks for gun purchases and keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, dangerous individuals, and people not capable of handling a gun responsibly.
