Lieberman Joins Fusion as General Counsel

Fusion's interim President Beau Ferrari sent the following note to staff announcing new additions to the team:

Dear Colleagues,

I¹m writing to share more good news. Eric Lieberman has joined Fusion as our new Vice President and General Counsel.

Eric was most recently General Counsel for the Washington Post, where he was responsible for legal affairs, government affairs, public relations and community relations.

Eric who spent 15 years at The Post - understands all aspects of media law, from newsgathering issues and IP rights to protecting anonymous sources.

Before joining The Post¹s in-house legal team in 1998, Eric was a litigator for six years at the prestigious Washington law firm Williams & Connolly. Prior to that, Eric clerked for Chief Judge James L. Oakes on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Early in his career Eric was a legislative aide on Senator Kennedy¹s Labor Committee staff.

Eric grew up in Durham, N.C. and received his J.D. degree from Duke University.

He is a top-notch media executive known for delivering clear and practical counsel. We are incredibly fortunate he¹s joining our team.
