Venezuela Shows Photos of Smiling Chavez

Feb. 15, 2013 — -- After much speculation regarding Hugo Chavez's health and with unconfirmed rumors of his delicate state, today the Venezuelan government has provided images of its president.

Chavez is seen with his daughters in a photo taken yesterday in Cuba according to Minister Ernesto Villegas. Chavez is smiling in all the images shown in the press conference. These are the first to be shown of the President since his latest Cancer operation in early December, which was his fourth cancer surgery in the past 18 months.

In today's press conference, it was confirmed that Chavez has temporarily lost his voice.
