Kiss of death? Or at least temporary pain. TSA agents said today they confiscated what looked like a bejeweled lipstick case that was actually a stun gun in disguise, according to ABC News’ Detroit affiliate WXYZ. The weapon was confiscated but the woman was allowed to go on her flight after being cited for the violation.

The TSA confiscates thousands of prohibited items, but it's in the TSA's unusual prohibited checkpoint items list that things get a little weird. Some look deadly but are harmless and others, the opposite. For instance, a Credit Card Knife can be folded into the approximate size, shape of a credit card. Officers in Albuquerque reported multiple encounters with them.

The device above may look like regular brass knuckles, which are already prohibited, but these pack an electric punch as well. It is a combination brass knuckle/stun gun that could "potentially incapacitate a victim". This one was discovered at Memphis International Airport, the TSA said.

The Electronic Drum Vest is meant to be a wearable for a musician, but the TSA said it can appear "to be an improvised explosive device." The vest, the TSA said, consists of piezoelectric sensors embedded in it to detect changes in pressure. While generally harmless, the TSA noted that "if modified, the vest can conceal liquid explosives or narcotics."

The Gun Shoe is the exact point where high fashion and high security collide in a bad way for a stylish traveler. TSA reported encountering Chanel's gun shoes at Los Angeles International Airport as well as in Switzerland's Zurich-Kloten Airport. The shoes "do not contain a working firing mechanism," but were confiscated anyway.

One traveler through Raleigh-Durham International Airport sparked a brief security scare when screeners saw what appeared to be an old grenade in their carry-on luggage. After calling in explosives specialists, the TSA discovered the offending item was "an inert 'pineapple' hand grenade with pin mounted on a plaque for humorous effect."
