Fisher-Price Infant Cradle Swings Recalled Because of Fall Hazard
The company says the swings may present a fall hazard.
— -- A recall of more than 30,000 Fisher-Price infant cradle swings has been issued because of a potential fall hazard.
The recall includes three models of the Fisher-Price cradle swings that feature two different swinging motions and six different swing speeds. The company says the seats can fall unexpectedly if the seat peg is not fully engaged.
Two incidents of a seat peg’s coming out of the seat have been reported to Fisher-Price, prompting the recall.
The three recalled models -- CHM84 Soothing Savanna Cradle 'n Swing, CMR40 Sweet Surroundings Cradle 'n Swing, and CMR43 Sweet Surroundings Butterfly Friends Cradle 'n Swing – were sold online and at stores like Target and Buy Buy Baby between November 2015 and March 2016.
The retail price for the swings is $170. Consumers are advised to stop using the swings and call Fisher-Price for new assembly instructions, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
