There was no winner on Friday night for the $660 million Mega Millions jackpot and the estimated prize for the next drawing on Tuesday, July 26, is now an incredible $790 million.

The winning numbers were 60-66-14-40-64 and the megaball 16.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on April 15, with a winning ticket in Tennessee claiming $20 million.

There have been no jackpot winners in the 28 consecutive drawings since then, with the grand prize growing from $20 million to an estimated $555 million as of Tuesday. Interest in the lotto had driven Friday's grand prize up to an estimated $660 million, pre-tax.

But, with no winner declared on Friday, anticipation is only expected to grow between now and the next drawing on Tuesday.

"There have been only three lottery jackpots ever won -- in any game -- at a higher level than next Tuesday’s estimated prize of $790 million," Mega Millions said in a statement following Friday night's drawing. "Two were Mega Millions jackpots – $1.537 billion won in South Carolina on October 23, 2018, and $1.050 billion won in Michigan on January 22, 2021. The current world record lottery prize is a $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot won on January 13, 2016."

The winner could choose to be paid out in one immediate payment and then 29 annual payments. Or, the lump-sum cash option for the drawing is estimated to be $464.4 million.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350, according to the lottery game.

Even though there was no Mega Millions winner declared on Friday, there was plenty of good news for participants across the country as Mega Millions said there were a total of 3,428,412 winning tickets at all prize levels.

"Four tickets matched the five white balls to win the game's second prize," Mega Millions confirmed. "Three of them are worth $3 million each because they included the optional Megaplier (a $1 extra purchase available in most states), which was 3X Friday night; they were sold in Delaware, New Jersey and New York. The remaining Match 5 winning ticket, worth $1 million, was sold in Virginia. The $3 million Delaware ticket represents the largest Mega Millions prize ever won in that state!"

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $2.
