2015 Emmy Award Nominations: The Complete List
"Game of Thrones" and "American Horror Story: Freak Show" earned the most nods.
— -- “Mad Men” and “House of Cards” both had very strong showings during the 67th Emmy nominations with multiple nods. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright both earned nominations yet again for Lead Actor and Actress in a Drama, while their show is also in the running for Outstanding Drama Series. Elisabeth Moss and Jon Hamm were also nominated from “Mad Men” following the show’s final and seventh season.
The overall leaders in number of nominations were “Game of Thrones” with an impressive 24 nods, and in close second was “American Horror Story: Freak Show” with 19.
Some other notable repeat nominees include Jeffrey Tambor for “Transparent,” whose show had 11 total nominations and Uzo Aduba from “Orange is the New Black.” AMC ‘s newcomer “Better Call Saul” raked in 7 nods, including Best Series and Best Lead Actor in Bob Odenkirk, while some of Netflix’s new series earned nods, including “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and “Bloodline.” Oscar nominee Viola Davis will also be vying for the coveted Emmy, as she was nominated in the Best Lead Actress category for her work on “How to Get Away With Murder,” while Amy Schumer continues her breakout year with her show “Inside Amy Schumer” landing 7 nominations.
The 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Sept. 20 and will be hosted by Andy Samberg.
