Dec. 18, 2010 — -- KT Tunstall's version of the winter classic "Sleigh Ride" provides the soundtrack for Y3W this week.

A singer-songwriter from Scotland, Tunstall first won international attention in 2004 with her single "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree." She has since recorded 4 full-length albums and an EP.

We recently had a chance to chat with KT, and she shared some insight into her favorite music. "I'm very inspired by Damon Albarn and Jack White, with all their various projects." She said she is also a fan of The Pretenders, and loved their holiday song "2,000 Miles" so much that she recorded her own version for her Christmas EP.

When asked about her favorite holiday traditions, she said, "sleeping in!" as well as going for long walks with family. Excited about the holiday season, she is currently touring in the U.S. and enjoying performing "lots of Christmas bits and pieces where I get to use sleigh bells in my set." In 2011, her tour schedule will bring her to the U.K.
