Rod Blagojevich and Wife Patti to Appear on 'View'
Indicted ex-Illinois governor will discuss new memoir "The Governor."
Aug. 27, 2009— -- Rod Blagojevich, the indicted former governor of Illinois, is returning to ABC's "The View," and he's bringing his wife, Patti, with him.
The disgraced ex-pol will be promoting his highly anticipated memoir, "The Governor," Sept. 9.
Blagojevich's last visit to the set of the daytime talk show in January made national headlines when he told "View" co-host Barbara Walters, "Let me unequivocally state right here before you and the whole country: Under no circumstances was I trying to sell a Senate seat. Under no circumstances did I break any laws."
Patti Blagojevich garnered her own fame when she took her husband's place as a contestant on the reality show "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here."
As for "The View," other guests scheduled to appear during the new season include Kate Gosselin, LaToya Jackson and John McCain's daughter, Meghan, who will serve as guest co-hosts for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is on maternity leave after the birth of her third child.
Hasselbeck returns to "The View" in mid-October.
