Ian Jones: Body Found in Hudson Confirmed as Boyfriend of Annie Lennox's Daughter
Ian Jones went missing over the weekend when his kayak capsized.
— -- Following an autopsy, the body found in the Hudson River earlier this week was confirmed today as Ian Jones, the boyfriend of Annie Lenox's daughter.
Jones, 32, went missing over the weekend when the kayak he was in with Tali Lennox, 22, capsized in the Hudson, authorities said. Tali Lennox, a model and artist, was rescued shortly after the incident on Saturday.
"The autopsy has revealed no injuries or trauma to Mr. Jones’ body, and the findings are consistent with drowning. There were no signs of criminal conduct or foul play found," the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Toxicology tests were performed on Jones and those results won't be known for several weeks, police said.
The Sheriff’s Office said on Monday they had found a body that matched Jones' description. The body was found around noon near the Poughkeepsie Yacht Club, police added.
Lennox also posted a touching tribute to Instagram on Monday about Jones.
"My heart is shattered. My best friend, my soul mate, my partner in crime & creativity, the LOVE & LIGHT of my life is no longer with me," she wrote. "All the love that has been sent to me is giving me the strength to get through this. I know that he is so so happy that I was safely rescued. Let us honor & celebrate this beautiful soul & keep following the light."
