Actors Kyle Maclachlan and Tracee Ellis Ross shared snaps online.

— -- Celebrities with Nordic connections were invited to the White House State Dinner, which honored the leaders of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, on Friday night.

Will Ferrell, whose wife Viveca Paulin is a native of Sweden, attended the dinner.

"We have a great connection with Sweden, we go there every summer," the actor told ABC News last night. "We thought it would be a unique opportunity."

Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, who was raised in Sweden, also attended along with "Scandal" star Bellamy Young, comedian Aziz Ansari, David Letterman, "black-ish" actress Tracee Ellis Ross, "Girls" actress Allison Williams, "Nashville" actress Connie Britton, comedian Billy Eichner and Swedish-American actor Joel Kinnaman, best known for his role on "House of Cards."

In between hobnobbing with Nordic leaders and listening to Demi Lovato treat dinner guests to her 2015 single "Stone Cold" during the evening's festivities, celebrities took to social media to share share behind-the-scenes photos.

Along with boyfriend, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, model Miranda Kerr took to a different social media network to snap a selfie.

Actress Tracee Ellis Ross snuck off to the White House's Blue Room to snap a portrait of herself in a stunning floor-length white gown.

Actor Kyle Maclachlan and his wife Desiree Gruber both posted equally stunning pics on social media, documenting their very special date night.

And while "Glamour" magazine editor-in-chief Cindi Leive shared a photo outside of the White House on Instagram, make up artist Bobbi Brown was spotted posing with comedian Aziz Ansari.
