The first photo from the set of "Ant-Man" is here!
Paul Rudd, who will play Scott Lang, the thief turned superhero, looks extra dangerous in this photo. It's a darker Rudd than you’re used to from moves like "Knocked Up" and "Clueless."
"Get your 1st look at Paul Rudd as Scott Lang in #Marvel's #AntMan, in theaters July 17, 2015!" Marvel tweeted earlier today.
From the photo, Rudd, 45, looks to be under the Golden Gate Bridge and in front of his van, which looks like the typical van used in a heist.
In the movie, Rudd's character Lang uses the shrinking-suit technology from the original Ant-Man Hank Pym, which will be played by Michael Douglas.
The release from Marvel says, "The film brings one of Marvel comics’ original founding members of The Avengers into the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world," it continues.
