“I made the album I set out to make, we got to do the tour we set out to take on the road and for that to happen at the end of the year was just a great feeling,” Urban said of his multiple nominations on “GMA.”

The country star braved the rain in Nashville to get the crowds pumped for the CMA Awards tonight by performing his classic hit, “Stupid Boy,” and also his new single, “Good Thing,” from his nominated album, “Fuse.”

Miranda Lambert also has a big night ahead of her. She’s already got one win under her belt and still has a whopping nine additional award nominations to go, which is more than any other artist. The powerhouse country star is matching her record from 2010 for the most nominations for any female artist in the history of the CMAs.

“It’s insane,” Lambert said. “It just feels great. I’m in such a good mood. I woke up happy this morning because it’s going to be such a great day.”
