— -- "Jane the Virgin" is earning some serious pop cred.

First Britney Spears announced she'll be appearing on season 2 of the CW show, and now Kesha reveals she'll be making an appearance on the upcoming season.

Soon after Kesha's announcement, leading lady Gina Rodriguez tweeted her excitement about her future costar.

Kesha will play Annabelle, a "rocker who moves next door to Jane and isn't exactly a 'baby person,'" according to a statement from the CW.

"We are so thrilled Kesha will be appearing on 'Jane!'" series creator Jennie Snyder Urman said in the statement. "We are all huge fans of hers, and we are so excited to welcome her to the 'Jane The Virgin' family."

Meanwhile, Spears, who has said she is a huge fan of the show, will play Rogelio's "archnemesis" in the fifth episode of the upcoming season.

"Jane The Virgin" returns on Monday, October 12 at 9:00 pm EST on The CW.
