The former "Full House" star is a gym rat -- and it shows.

April 2, 2014 — -- Candace Cameron Bure is a force to be reckoned with on "Dancing with the Stars" and now we know why.

The gym rat and former "Full House" actress spoke to US Weekly after Monday's show and revealed her work out regimen.

"I work out four to five days a week," said the mother of three -- Natasha, 15, Lev, 14, and Maksim, 12. "I lift heavy weights, that's what I enjoy doing to keep building muscle."

She continued, "My cardio is minimal, which made it a little harder for the jive. That was a challenge for me because, as great shape as I'm in, I'm not in great cardio shape."

The 37-year-old actress could have fooled us. Cameron Bure scored a 32 this past week, getting all eights.

She added that she likes to run races and that will run a marathon with Andrea Barber, her friend and co-star, who played Kimmy Gibler on the show.

"She runs marathons! I run shorter races, like 5K or 10K races, but with obstacles in them like Tough Mudder or a Spartan Race because I like the strength stuff and she likes long distances," she said. "Now that she's run a couple races with me, she's dragging me into doing a marathon."
