Harris, 40, revealed her breast cancer last month and after seeing three specialists, she chose the double mastectomy.

She chose the procedure "to take control" of her disease, she said, and to make the choice right for her and her two daughters -- Josselyn, 6, and Hillary, 3. She said after making the tough choice, she now feels "so much calmer."

"My dad wasn't able to walk me down the aisle. I will be here to plan my daughter's weddings and they better like the dress I pick," she added.

Harris' other hosting duties have included "The Next Joe Millionaire" and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."
