— -- First it was George Clooney. Now it's Derek Jeter.
Jeter, 41, let it slip that he is engaged to Sports Illustrated model Hannah Davis, 25, in a post introducing his dog Kane to the world.
On his website The Players' Tribune, the 14-time All-Star shortstop revealed Tuesday that the nearly 100-pound, one-year-old Italian mastiff was a "gift last year from my fiancee."
For the notoriously private star, it was his way of saying he's finally off the market. The former Yankees captain dated an impressive lineup of ladies. Some, like Jessica Alba, Tyra Banks and Scarlett Johansson, were never confirmed. But here are a few we know about, including the woman who finally captured his heart.
Soon after stepping into the spotlight as Rookie of the Year during his first of five World Series championships, Jeter began dating superstar Mariah Carey in 1997. Her trip to spring training led Yankees veteran Tim Raines to quip, "Is this baseball or Entertainment Tonight?" The couple split in late 1998, citing "media pressure."
Two more championship rings later, Jeter was ready to re-enter the dating pool. He reportedly pursued 2000's Miss Universe Lara Dutta, an Indian actress and model, after seeing her on an episode of "Live with Regis & Kathie Lee." The two were together for about a year.
Starting in 2002, Jeter began seeing "Fast and Furious" actress Jordana Brewster. Their relationship lasted less than a year.
Before marrying Nick Lachey, former MTV VJ Vanessa Minnillo had an on-again/off-again relationship with Jeter from 2003 to 2006.
From 2006 to 2007, Jeter was linked to Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima, model Vida Guerra and actresses Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel -- though not all at the same time.
Jeter began dating "Friday Night Lights" and "Charlie's Angels" star Minka Kelly in 2008. She was often seen alongside his parents cheering on her man and even rode with him on the parade float following the 2009 World Series. Despite engagement rumors, the couple split in the fall of 2011, got back together again later that year and finally called it quits by March of 2012.
Not long after his split from Kelly, Jeter was linked with Davis. They kept their relationship low-key, finally making their red carpet debut in May of this year at the Met Gala in New York City.
