— -- Eva Mendes just gave birth to a daughter, Esmeralda, late last year -- but even so, she will not be celebrating Mother's Day this weekend.

"There is no plan," she told Access Hollywood on Tuesday. "I kind of feel like I haven't quite earned my stripes yet, in a way. She's seven months [old]."

Taking the focus off herself, Mendes, who welcomed her baby with beau Ryan Gosling, said it's all about her mom this year.

"She's had a really hard year. My brother's sick, so it's all about my mom, honoring her. We're all going to go over to her house and bombard her with love," she added.

This isn't the first time Mendes, 41, has said she hasn't earned her mothering street cred yet. Back in March, she told Women's Health she doesn't feel like she can tell other mothers what to do.

"I don't feel like I've really earned the right," she told the magazine. "I want to respect all the moms out there. They're going to be like, 'You know what? You're a few months in. Just shut up.'"
