Giuliana and Bill Rancic's Surrogate Suffers Miscarriage
The 'devastated' couple had been trying for second baby.
June 2, 2014 — -- Bill and Giuliana Rancic’s surrogate suffered a miscarriage, he has revealed to People magazine.
"The Apprentice" winner and his wife, who anchors E! News, are already parents to Duke, 21 months. Duke was born by way of surrogacy in 2012.
"This whole season on 'Giuliana and Bill' we've been trying to have another baby," Rancic told People. "Unfortunately, our surrogate, Delphine, who we love very much, had a miscarriage. It's something that we didn't see coming. We were devastated."

Rancic told the magazine that Delphine was nine weeks pregnant.
"We experienced a miscarriage years ago when we were trying with Giuliana, so we had been keeping the pregnancy news tight to the vest," he said, explaining why they hadn't broken the news of the pregnancy yet.
Even though the Rancics are understandably upset about the loss, Bill made it clear that he is thinking about the surrogate and what she must be going through.
"Delphine is amazing. We hit the surrogate lottery when we met her. Obviously, this was no fault of hers," he said. "It's a double sadness because we didn't want her to feel bad. And Giuliana was rather distraught at first, but she's tough. In times like this we rely on our faith. Once the tears went away, we started to look towards the future."
Giuliana, 39, and Bill Rancic, 43, are not letting this loss stop them from still trying for a second baby.
"Hopefully we're going to have good news and Delphine will be on board one more time,” he added. “We've had to battle it out and that's something that we're going to continue to do.”
The season finale of "Giuliana and Bill" airs Tuesday on E!
