Glenn Close and Husband David Shaw Divorce After 9 Years

— -- Iconic actress Glenn Close and David Shaw have divorced after nine years of marriage.

The divorce was amicable, according to People magazine.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star, 78, and Shaw, a venture capitalist, married in February 2006 in Maine, where they lived together for the better part of a decade. This was the actress' third marriage. She was married to Cabot Wade in the late 1960's and James Marlas in the 1980's.

Close and Shaw did not have any kids, but the actress shares a daughter, Annie, with her ex John Starke.

Earlier this week, the acting legend announced she would be starring in a London run of "Sunset Boulevard," taking on the role of Norma Desmond. This isn't Close's first time starring in the musical. She won a Tony in 1995 for her work on Broadway, according to the Associated Press.
