— -- Grammy-award winning Latin music artist Pitbull said "age is nothing but a number" as he helped kick off GMA's "40 for 40" tonight during the marathon live-stream event.

"Forty is the new 20, so you guys are looking better than ever," Pitbull told “Good Morning America” co-anchor Amy Robach during his live telephone interview.

The artist, who released his latest album "Dale" earlier this year, is scheduled to perform live for the "GMA" 40th anniversary event in Times Square on Thursday.

"Especially it being 'Good Morning America,' we want to wake up American with great energy and make sure that it's all positive things," Pitbull said of the upcoming show. "Get ready to have fun and celebrate the best 40th birthday ever."
