‘GMA’ Anchors Take on ‘The Martian’ in Green Screen Trailer

— -- In advance of Sunday’s 88th Academy Awards, the anchors of “GMA” put their acting chops on display in a trailer for the morning show version of “The Martian.”

The trailer shows Lara Spencer in a starring role as she makes her way around Mars. Spencer plays her green screen-enabled role with gusto and gets a helping hand from her fellow anchors.

This was “GMA”’s fifth green screen Oscar movie trailer. Other trailers have included “Gravity” and “American Hustle.”
