— -- Jack Wagner has reached out to his Twitter followers for help and to start a dialogue about addiction.

Early this morning, he began by tweeting "I fear for my youngest sons safety. Harrison has struggled w drugs & alcohol just as I did when I was younger. He's relapsed & is MIA 5days."

The soap opera star, 56, added that he wanted to hear from his followers about their fears and struggles in the face of addiction.

Fans immediately responded with their own stories, and as of this afternoon, Wagner appears to be trying to answer any and all replies.

He has shared notes of condolences and thanked people for their honesty. He even invited someone with depression to "call upon us, me" for help. He's also invited some commenters to direct message him.

Later in the day, Wagner added to the stream of tweets that Harrison had finally contacted him.

The messages of sharing and hope are still coming in and Wagner is still chatting with others about addiction.

Harrison is Wagner's youngest son.
