Jennifer Lopez Recalls What She Wore in Labor With Her Twins
JLo took a walk down memory lane through her closet for Harper's Bazaar.
— -- Jennifer Lopez is as known for her fashion sense as her singing, dancing and acting.
In the December/January issue of Harper's Bazaar, the star, 47, took a walk down memory lane through her closet.
"If you hear a song from a certain time and you’re like, ‘Oh, my God!’ it takes you back to that period in your life. I do the same thing with my closet," she confessed. "I walk in and I see a hat or a pair of shoes or a coat, and I go, ‘Wow! I remember I was wearing that the day this happened, or I was walking down the street; or I heard this or my mom said that, or my boyfriend...’ You know what I mean?"
Lopez can also recall the day her 8-year-old twins, Max and Emme, were born.
"It was in the middle of a snowstorm, and I wore this big white fur coat. I was huge, and it was the only coat that would fit me," she said.
The "Shades of Blue" star is about to make some new memories with her new capsule shoe collection with designer Guiseppe Zanotti called Giuseppe for Jennifer Lopez.
"I have a certain sensibility about the way I dress and design, and I just kind of handed that to him. People really associate me with sparkle and a little bit of street edge and things like that," she said. "I wanted to make sure the collection had that, but then some [styles] feel very glam and high-end fashion."
The shoes range in price from $795 to $1,995 a pair. There are also a couple of handbags available to match.
The shoe collection is just the latest piece in Lopez's empire, which includes a fashion line for Kohl's, a fragrance collection for Coty and a jewelry collection for Endless.
In addition, Lopez seems to have passed down her love for fashion to daughter Emme.
"She loves fashion. She was wearing my shoes as soon as she started walking," the star told Harper's. "She’s actually learning to sew already. Who knows? We may have a little designer on our hands."
