Julianne Moore Releases Fourth Book in 'Freckleface Strawberry' Series
"Freckleface Strawberry and the Really Big Voice" is available now.
— -- Julianne Moore is out with the fourth title in her children's book series, "Freckleface Strawberry."
The new book, "Freckleface Strawberry and the Really Big Voice," focuses on the character, Windy Pants Patrick, who apparently has not mastered his "indoor voice." Moore said the story teaches young readers that it's okay to be different.
"I think I wanted to write about that idea that maybe what you have is okay," Moore explained today on "GMA." "Whatever makes you different is an okay thing, whether you have freckles, or a big voice...there's room for all of it."
Moore has been writing the series since 2007 and "Freckleface Strawberry" was even her nickname growing up.
"I always say it when I talk to kids," Moore said. "I say, 'Look at my arms, have you ever seen so many freckles in your life?'"
She added: "They are books sort of based on what I experienced as a kid growing up. For me now, it's nice to think about what's happening in kids' lives--what's important to them."
