— -- Katherine Heigl is fully embracing her first pregnancy -- cravings and all.

The "Grey's Anatomy" alum, who is 19 weeks pregnant, shared a snap of her growing baby bump and opened up about her cravings and other challenges of pregnancy in a new post on her blog "Those Heavenly Days."

"The first month of my pregnancy I was eating bowls of fettuccine alfredo and huge slices of chocolate cake, all the while telling myself I was eating for two," the 37-year-old star shared. "Had I continued on this path I would have put on far more weight than I wanted to and been compromising the babies and my health."

Now, Heigl, who is expecting a boy, uses the website Eating Well to plan her meals.

"Having a little help keeping my nutrition on track has made all the difference in the world and this way after eating well all week I feel like I’ve earned the wiggle room to indulge on the weekends and have that chocolate cake if I’m craving it!" she wrote on her blog, where she shared other apps and tips.

The star also admitted that exercising has been more difficult since becoming pregnant.

"It’s hard enough for me to get motivated to work out when I’m not pregnant but now that I am it’s ten times harder," she said. "I’m not up for weight training, lengthy cardio workouts, or any of those new and fashionable exercise classes. What I am up for is yoga!"

Heigl also shared her biggest pregnancy complaint -- "indigestion and waking up with the occasional stuffy nose and sinus headache" -- and her homemade remedies for both.

To cure her indigestion, she turned to apple cider vinegar, first mixing it with baking soda and lemon juice then graduating to a shot of it in her water or "mocktail." As for her morning sinus headaches, she went back to drinking a cup of coffee in the morning, albeit a low-acid organic brand. It not only got rid of her headaches but reduced swelling around her ankles as well.

Heigl announced her pregnancy in June. She and her husband of eight years, Josh Kelley, are also parents to adopted girls, Naleigh, 7, and Adelaide, 4. Heigl is due in January.
