— -- The curtain closed for two couples on “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday night in a surprise double-elimination.

Rapper Vanilla Ice and music producer Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds were both voted off along with their professional partners, Witney Carson and Allison Holker.

“I went spaghetti. It just happened,” Edmonds, 57, said on “Good Morning America” today of his disappointing performance Monday night.

Holker, defending her partner, said, “That happens to a lot of people. It’s not the first time that’s ever happened to someone on the show. Everyone gets the nerves, gets a little bit nervous going onto that stage.

“He did an incredible job and I think he should be really proud of his entire journey. All the other weeks he came out and he nailed it. He had one little mess up and that shouldn’t stop his energy.”

Holker said the competition this season was “really, really hard.”

“All the pros are really, really strong this season. Everyone’s coming for that Mirror Ball trophy,” she explained. “Everybody really wants it. Everyone’s really driven and really focused this season and all the celebrities are just phenomenal.”

Vanilla Ice had a tough time balancing his rigorous “DWTS” practice with a busy concert schedule.

“I have five concerts in five cities, five different days, so that’s my entire rehearsal week,” the rapper said last night after his elimination.

More than anything, Edmonds is glad he got a chance to dance for his mom, who died four years ago.

“That’s why I went there,” he said. “I can come out of this saying ‘mission accomplished’ and I know that she’s proud and she’s looking down and she’s proud of me.”
