Why Khloé Kardashian Didn't Want Caitlyn Jenner to Visit Lamar Odom at the Hospital
The reality star explained that Caitlyn wanted to come but she said no.
— -- On Wednesday night's "Kocktails with Khloé," the show's host, Khloé Kardashian, 31, addressed rumors she was feuding with her brother's girlfriend and also revealed more details of estranged husband Lamar Odom's time recovering in the hospital last year.
She first spoke about Blac Chyna's connection to the family, explaining how the model has a child with rapper Tyga, who is dating her sister Kylie Jenner.
"It sounds very dramatic, which it is, but I actually haven't seen Chyna in a few years," Khloé said, according to People magazine's recap of the show. "But her and I did not get into a fight. But I do love a good fight."
Khloé also spoke about helping Odom through his recovery late last year after he was found unresponsive at a legal Nevada brothel.
"He was a person who obviously needed my help. I'm not going to let anyone wake up in a hospital room by themselves. So it does become bigger than you," she said about being there to care for Odom.
One person who didn't come to visit was Caitlyn Jenner because Khloé wanted to shelter the ailing basketball star.
"Lamar was in a coma, and Lamar was in the hospital for four months, and I kept Lamar very sheltered. During that time, when Caitlyn was transitioning, but also prior to Lamar's accident, Lamar was not in the best state," Khloé said, according to Us Weekly's recap.
"I can't guarantee he was watching television," she continued. "So when Caitlyn wanted to come and visit Lamar for the first time, that was in the hospital -- I wanted to respect Caitlyn being Caitlyn, but I also didn't feel comfortable in Lamar's healing, him seeing someone that he knew that was once a man, somebody else."
She added, "I was like, 'It's not the right time. Let's wait until this person has some healing time.'"
When Caitlyn and Odom finally met for the first time, Khloé said Odom handled it with "a lot of grace."
Odom was released from the hospital in January.
