— -- Mariah Carey sure knows how to make an entrance.

She proved it Wednesday during an appearance at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills to promote her upcoming E! series, "Mariah's World." The singing icon was brought out by several bare-chested hunks, and she sat on stage on a velvet chaise lounge chair with gold accents.

As an added touch, champagne and chocolates were passed around to everyone in the room.

"Mariah's World," scheduled to premiere on Sunday, Dec. 4, will take us behind the scenes as the singer tours internationally and plans her wedding to Aussie billionaire James Packer. However, she said Wednesday it is not a reality series.

"The reason why we call it more of a docu-series is because it feels like a documentary," she explained. "It's not ... there's no way I was like, 'Ooh, let's do some kind of reality thing.' I don't even watch reality.

"I don't even know what reality is ... literally," she added. "Like in the terms of like, real or not real."

Mariah, 46, said fans may see sides of her on the show that they may not have known existed. "I can be a bit of a jokestress. And sometimes that gets the best of me," she continued. "I can be bossy, but I try to be a nice person."

We may also see Moroccan and Monroe, her 5-year-old twins from her marriage to Nick Cannon, featured on the show.

"I just have to figure out, and you know, mutually figure it out with Nick and whatever how much we really want them in the show," Mariah told journalists. "Because the truth is, they jump on the stage when they can ... they're an integral part of my life."

What about Nick? Will he be on the program? Mariah played coy when asked that very question: "I don't know what makes the final cut."

E! has given fans a sneak preview of "Mariah's World" with a new promo posted on its website.
