Mark Wahlberg Films 'Patriots Day' Scene at Boston Marathon

— -- Mark Wahlberg was one of the first to reach the finish line at this year's Boston Marathon, but not in the way you think.
Wahlberg, 44, made an appearance at the marathon early Monday morning dressed like a police officer while filming a scene for his upcoming film "Patriots Day."
Wahlberg was spotted by bystanders at the race's finish line, dressed head-to-toe in a police costume as he walked down the street with cameramen following him.
"Patriots Day" will recount the story of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.
Wahlberg, who is cast as Sgt. Tommy Saunders, will star alongside John Goodman, Michelle Monaghan, J.K. Simmons and Kevin Bacon.
Walhberg told the Boston Globe last month that there's "huge pressure" to get the film right but he's "committed to doing that."
"Patriots Day" will hit theaters in January 2017.
