Meet Amal Alamuddin's Sister Tala, George Clooney's New Sister-In-Law
George Clooney's new sister-in-law stunned at last weekend's wedding in Venice.
— -- All eyes were on Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney this past weekend as they celebrated their marriage in Venice.
However, one other person drew attention, too -- Alamuddin's sister, Tala (the one in blue).
In this week's People magazine, which features photos of the A-listers' big day, the bride is seen in one shot grinning as Tala playfully jumps on a bed before the wedding ceremony. In another, they're seen smiling at a pre-wedding celebration with the groom-to-be.
Who is she? Here are five things to know about the new Mrs. Clooney's gorgeous sibling:
1. She lives in Singapore: Tala had been living in New York City before she married Nagi Hamiyeh, a businessman based in Singapore. It's unclear whether they're still together (some reports claim she's currently engaged to someone else), but she's been in that country for some time.
2. She's an academic: Like her lawyer sister, Tala is well-educated, having attended Richmond American International University in London, according to the school's alumni magazine.
3. She's a mom: Tala's 12-year-old daughter, Mia, served as the flower girl in her aunt's wedding, with a very important task: to help the bride with her train. However, because of the weight of the dress, Tala had to pitch in too, according to Vogue.
4. She's an animal lover: According to a dog walking website testimonials page, Tala is a dog lover, who at one point had a German Shepherd named Mojo.
5. She's a fashion plate: A bit of a socialite, Tala has been photographed at various high-profile events.
