Miley Cyrus Releases 'My Sad Christmas Song'
The pop star released a new holiday single titled, "My Sad Christmas Song."
— -- Not everyone is having a merry Christmas and for those who need someone to sing their blues, look no further than Miley Cyrus.
The singer released a holiday-inspired song Friday titled, "My Sad Christmas Song." She announced the new track via her Instagram page.
Cyrus, 23, posted a photo of herself, dressed in an elf costume, looking sad while sitting on Santa Claus' lap.
In the ballad, Cyrus croons, "This is my sad Christmas song/I've had it stuck in my head all day long/I wrote it in the car on my ride home/Because I knew I'd walk in the door and I'd be alone."
Cyrus then questions why she put up a Christmas tree and even admits that her sister called her a grinch.
Later, the singer reveals the source of her sadness. "Next year I'm gonna be with my man," she sings, before adding, "Why did you have to go? We were under the mistletoe."
In August, Cyrus revealed she was single. "I'm pansexual. But I'm not in a relationship," she told Elle UK back then. "I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with."
