Salma Hayek Talks Changing Body Image With Age
“Well I am entering my 50s so your body confidence isn’t that good,” she said.
— -- Selma Hayek is aging with grace, both inside and out.
The actress, 49, spoke candidly about her insecurities in an interview with Instyle UK.
“Well I am entering my 50s, so your body confidence isn’t that good,” she admitted. “I think it depends on the day. For everybody, there’s some days you say, 'This is it,' and you love it. Then there are days when you go, 'This cannot be it! Is this really it?' So I think it’s up and down all the time!”
Despite these insecurities, Hayek played a queen in her most recent film, "Tale of Tales," which hit theaters in the U.S. in April. When asked about bringing out her inner-queen in everyday life, Hayek spoke about the power of confidence and loving yourself.
“You have to get up and become your own work of art; from the moment you put yourself together,” she told Instyle. She then added: “Celebrate who you are and celebrate life and know that this is your experience.”
