Sandra Bullock, Taylor Swift and Other Golden Globes Fashion Trendsetters
See what trends ruled the red carpet at this year's awards show.
Jan. 12, 2014 -- One of the best parts of awards season is seeing what the stars will wear on the red carpet, and this year's Golden Globes was no exception.
Taylor Swift, Sandra Bullock, Aubrey Plaza and Julie Bowen all rocked the two-tone look, but each with their own take on the trend.
A more subtle trend was one that was displayed by Sarah Paulson, Allison Williams, Zooey Deschanel, Leslie Mann and Sally Hawkins: textured gowns.
For stars like Williams, this type of look is carefully calculated. For the January issue of Elle magazine, the "Girls" star opened up about her fashion rules.
"I wanted to establish a baseline: Here's what I look like, I have long brown hair, I wear this kind of dress, this is the deal. You can count on it!" she said. "Look at Jennifer Aniston: She's America's sweetheart for a reason. You know what she's going to look like when she shows up to something, and there's something so comfortable in that."
