Sarah Michelle Gellar to Star in 'Star Wars Rebels' Season 2

Gellar will join the cast of "Star Wars Rebels" on Disney XD for season two, executive producer/supervising director Dave Filoni revealed today.

"We’re thrilled to have Sarah Michelle Gellar on board for season two," he said in a statement. "She is a true 'Star Wars Rebels' fan and her passion undoubtedly comes through in the voice recording sessions."

In addition to Gellar and Prize Jr., the voice cast also includes David Oyelowo, Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar and Taylor Gray.

"Star Wars Rebels," an animated show, focuses on the events between "Star Wars" Episodes III and IV.

No details about Gellar's character have been revealed yet.
