Sophie B. Hawkins Welcomes Baby Girl at 50 Years Old

The singer known for her hit "As I Lay Me Down" welcomed a baby girl Esther earlier this week, ABC News has confirmed. It's the second child for the 50-year-old, who also has a son Dashiell, born in 2008.
"Dashiell and I are ecstatic to finally be with our beautiful girl," the singer tells US Weekly. "Our family is now complete!"
Hawkins also shared a picture holding her new baby girl.
"Being 50 is actually an amazing age to have a second child because I am more wise, calm, humorous, appreciative, simple and clear," she told US Weekly back in February. "I'm in great health and Dashiell was a healthy pregnancy."
Hawkins froze embryos when she was 31 in order to have children later in life.
