Brooke Shields Is Suddenly Married

April 11 -- Actress Brooke Shields and television writer-producer Chris Henchy were quietly wed on April 4 at a ceremony on Catalina Island, off the southern California coast.

The couple, who met on the set of Shields' former sitcom Suddenly Susan, were expected to wed in Florida — where her father lives — next month, according to the New York Daily News. The nuptials come as a surprise to Shields' rep, who said, "She just went off and got married. I don't have much more information than that."

It's the second marriage for Shields, 35, who divorced tennis star Andre Agassi in 1999 after two years of marriage.

Shields and Henchy, 38, were engaged during a Mexican resort vacation last July.
