January 11 -- "Nobody wants to be lonely," sings Ricky Martin in a song of the same name from his latest LP, Sound Loaded. So what's a solo pop star to do?

Team up with another solo pop star for a blockbuster duet.

Martin and youthful diva Christina Aguilera got together to re-record "Nobody Wants to Be Lonely" originally a ballad as a danced-up duet, which hit radio stations Tuesday.

The song apparently not wanting to be lonely, either will not be sold separately as a single. Instead, it will be added to future pressings of Sound Loaded, replacing the current version of the song. Already-pressed versions, in stores, will be bundled with a separate copy of the new single. Sony Music has said that people already owning copies of Sound Loaded will be able to receive the single online or by mailing in a sticker from the album cover. The album, released in November, is at No. 53 on Billboard's latest Top 200 albums chart.

Martin performed the song Monday night at the American Music Awards. It's not, however, the song he's planning to perform for George W. Bush's inaugural bash Jan. 18 at Washington, D.C.'s Lincoln Memorial. Instead, the former Menudo singer will sing his raucous 1998 hit "La Copa de la Vida/The Cup of Life," the same number he showcased in his breakout appearance at the 1999 Grammy Awards.
