Axl Rose Stalker Won't Let Up
December 7 -- Even behind bars, Axl Rose's determined stalker won't leave the Guns N' Roses leader alone.
The Ohio woman — sentenced to a year in jail last June for violating probation by entering Rose's Malibu, Calif., property — is now facing two misdemeanor charges for allegedly bombarding the rock star with letters.
Karen Jane McNeil, 39, is expected to enter a plea today at Malibu Superior Court. The misdemeanors — contempt of court and violating a court order — arose because the judge ordered her to have no contact with Rose, according to prosecutors.
McNeil has allegedly entered the singer's property numerous times in the past several years, even after a judge ordered her to keep 300 yards away in 1997. She has told officials that she believes she is Rose's wife and communicates with him telepathically.
Her letters most likely went unopened, as Rose prepares for the first gigs with his new lineup of Guns N' Roses; the singer is the only remaining original member of the group. The band will play the House of Blues on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas before heading to Brazil to play at the "Rock in Rio" concert.
