Teen Choice Awards Recap and Complete Winners' List
"Hunger Games" and "Pitch Perfect 2" won big.
— -- A pair of sequels won big at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles Sunday.
"Pitch Perfect 2" won five awards, including Choice Movie: Comedy. Two of its stars, Skylar Astin and Anna Kendrick, were recognized for their performances.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1," the latest installment of the popular "Hunger Games" series, took home three surfboards, including Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi Fantasy and Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy went to Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, respectively.
Hutcherson likened the end of the franchise to a coming graduation.
"Furious 7" took top honors in the Choice Movie: Action/Adventure category. Vin Diesel, flanked by co-stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges, accepted on behalf of the film and paid tribute to his late co-star and friend Paul Walker, calling it a "blessing" to call Walker their "brother," and adding that Walker was "here in spirit with us."
Walker also won for Choice Movie Actor: Action/Adventure.
On the TV side, ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" and the CW series "The Vampire Diaries" were the big winners for the second straight year, snaring six and three awards, respectively.
One Direction landed eight surfboards, bringing their "lifetime" total to 23. The British boy band, now on tour, accepted the awards in a taped video.
Britney Spears received the Candie's Choice Style Icon award and showed off a new look that included rainbow hair and a dress with a daring plunging neckline.
The performance lineup included Flo Rida featuring Robin Thicke, Little Mix, 5 Seconds of Summer and Rachel Platten.
Ludacris, along with "Jane the Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez and actor Josh Peck, hosted the two-hour Fox broadcast, which aired live on the East Coast from the Galen Center in Los Angeles.
