— -- Beyoncé pulled back the curtain to give her fans a peek behind how her elaborate stage show is created.

Monday, Queen B posted a video to her Facebook page showing the world how the stunning costumes for her current Formation tour came to life.

“The process for designing this tour came from the beginning of the project which was [the ‘Formation’ music video]," Beyoncé’s costume designer, Marni Senofonte, explained. "There was a very antebellum feel to the film. We went back to New Orleans; we had this Victorian street wear.”

She broke down the workflow, which went a little something like this: after deciding the film would serve as a foundation, Beyonce’s people put out a call to designers. Beyoncé and Marni then went through the sketches they sent in and decided what they did and did’t like.

The sketches were then sent back to designers with comments, after which they revised the sketches, and, finally, Beyoncé and Marni decided which pieces they wanted made.

But to make the masterpieces both visually stunning and dancer-friendly, the team worked tirelessly to perfect every piece down to the last detail. In the video, Beyoncé’s team is seen adjusting sleeves to better accommodate the arm movement and dying tights by hand in order to match each dancer’s individual skin tone.

“It’s so exciting to see -- you know -- something that has been in your mind that you’ve been working so hard on” Senofonte concludes. “All of it kind of goes way when you’re just sitting there and living in it for those two hours.”

Beyonce’s Formation tour, which showcasing the tailor-made costumes, is currently underway and will conclude in October.
