'Wonder Woman' First Full Trailer Features Love Story, Plenty of Action
Check out the 2:30 clip, filled with plenty of action.
— -- "I used to want to save the world," Diana Prince, played by Gal Gadot, says in a voice-over as the first full "Wonder Woman" trailer begins.
"But the closer you get, the more you see the great darkness within," she adds, explaining why she left mankind behind a long time ago, as referenced in "Batman v Superman."
The first minute shows how Prince, a.k.a. Wonder Woman, meets her past love Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) almost 100 years ago. It also shows men invading her Amazonian island of Themyscira, with military men shooting up her beautiful home, possibly killing one of her own.
Trevor explains that the "war to end all wars" is here and he intends to stop it. We then see actor Danny Huston's character, unnamed, tinkering with weapons that Trevor says everyone should be scared of.
"Whoever you are, you are in more danger than you think," Trevor warns Prince.
This is when Wonder Woman is born, as she says, "I cannot stand by while innocent lives are lost."
Her sword, her bracelets, her shield are all featured in thrilling action sequences.
Trevor screams "Diana!" as Wonder Woman calmly steps on the battle field, deflecting bullets at will. It's not until the last 30 seconds of the 2:30 clip that we see her use her greatest weapon, the Lasso of Truth. Check out the full clip below.
"Wonder Woman" hits theaters in June and also stars Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright.
