"Come and get me, motherf-----," Jamie Lee Curtis' character Laurie Strode dares Michael Myers in the first trailer for "Halloween Ends," the 13th installment of the slasher movie franchise and the pair's final showdown.

"Halloween Ends" is set four years after 2021's "Halloween Kills" and finds Strode living with her granddaughter Allyson Nelson -- played by Andi Matichak -- and working on her memoir.

She hasn't seen Meyers in those four years and has "decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life," according to the film's description. However, a murder in the town sets off a traumatic chain of events that forces Strode to "finally confront the evil she can't control, once and for all."

Will Patton, Kyle Richards, Omar Dorsey, Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney also star in the upcoming movie.

"['Halloween Ends' is] very different in tone from 'Halloween [2018]' and 'Halloween Kills,' and I think that's part of my self-indulgence," director David Gordon Green told The Hollywood Reporter back in October. "I very often jump around in genres and explore different themes and characters through movies."

"I just came up with a new twist ending on the ending that existed a couple weeks ago," he added. "... [O]nly I hold the piece of paper that has those words on it."

"Halloween Ends" is supposedly the last installment in the slasher film franchise, and the fourth installment in the saga established by 2018's "Halloween," which was a direct sequel to John Carpenter's original 1978 film.

"Halloween Ends" hits theaters on Oct. 14.
