ACM Awards 2023: Biggest moments and complete winners list

Chris Stapleton won the entertainer of the year award.

Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson and HARDY were the big winners at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards Thursday night.

Stapleton took home the highly coveted entertainer of the year award at the star-studded show, which was hosted by Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton.

Lainey Wilson and HARDY took home the most wins of the night, with four awards apiece.

Cole Swindell followed closely behind, nabbing three ACM awards, including for his song "She Had Me At Heads Carolina."

The night celebrating country music started with Keith Urban and his track "Texas Time."

Throughout the two-hour telecast, country legends and stars took their turns performing for the live and virtual audiences.

Jo Dee Messina and Swindell teamed up for "Heads Carolina, Tails California," while Kane Brown took the stage to sing "Bury Me in Georgia."

Carly Pearce and Trisha Yearwood paired together for a medley celebrating Yearwood's career, including the songs, “Wrong Side Of Memphis,” “XXX’s And OOO’s,” and “She’s In Love With The Boy,”

Also hitting the stage was pop star Ed Sheeran, who was joined by Luke Combs to sing "Life Goes On."

Miranda Lambert, Bailey Zimmerman, Cody Johnson, the husband and wife duo The War and Treaty, Jelly Roll, and Jason Aldean also each had a turn to show off their skills.

Closing out the show with a bang, Parton debuted the highly anticipated lead single, "World on Fire," from her forthcoming, first-ever rock album, titled "Rockstar."
