Blue Ivy Carter won her first BET award on Sunday night.

"Brown Skin Girl" by Beyoncé from "The Lion King: The Gift" soundtrack took home the 2020 BET Her Award. The singer's 8-year-old daughter Blue and artists Wizkid and Saint Jhn are featured on the track.

Other nominees in the category included: "Underdog" by Alicia Keys, "Melanin" by Ciara feat. Lupita Nyong'o, Ester Dean, City Girls & La La, "I Choose" by Layton Greene, "Afeni" by Rapsody feat. PJ Morton and "Tempo" by Lizzo feat. Missy Elliott.

During the 2020 BET Awards, Beyoncé was also honored with the Humanitarian Award for her tremendous charitable efforts, specifically the work her BeyGOOD initiative has done in recent years.

Former first lady Michelle Obama appeared virtually to present the award to the singer.

"She’s always turning up, looking out and making us all a little bit better, a little more fierce," Obama said about the singer. "And she’s doing it all while staying devoted to her children and the loved ones she holds dear. To my girl, I just want to say -- you inspire me. You inspire all of us."

Beyoncé dedicated the award to those that are "marching and fighting for change."

"Your voices are being heard, and you're proving to our ancestors that their struggles were not in vain," she said.

"Now we have one more thing we need to do to walk in our true power, and that is to vote," she added. "I'm encouraging you to continue to take action, continue to change and dismantle a racist and unequal system. We have to continue to do this together."
