A source close to the couple confirmed to ABC News that Spears and Asghari are set to marry on Thursday.

Spears, 40, and Asghari, 28, got engaged in September 2021 when the Iranian-born fitness instructor and actor proposed to the "Toxic" singer.

The pair first met on the set of the pop star's "Slumber Party" music video in 2016.

Asghari stood by Spears during her conservatorship drama. Spears told a court in June 2021 she said she wanted to "get married and have a baby" but was unable to do so under the conservatorship.

"I deserve to have a life," she said in court testimony at the time, adding that she deserved to have the freedom to make decisions about her family.

Spears' conservatorship, which was established in 2008, was terminated in November 2021.

Spears previously teased her wedding dress on Instagram, sharing a glimpse of her veil in May. In a now-deleted post, she claimed Donatella Versace was making the gown.

Asghari recently teased fans that the two had decided on a wedding date. "Our lives have been a real life fairytale," he shared via a since-expired Instagram Stories post in May. "Also the big day has been set! But nobody will know until the day after."

Last October, the two revealed in a TikTok from October 2021 that they didn't know where they wanted to hold their wedding. "I have no idea where I want to get married," Spears said in the video. "We don't know if we want to get married in Italy or Greece, Australia or New York City." Asghari chimed in to suggest they let their fans decide their wedding locale.

Spears announced in April that she was pregnant with her and Asghari's first child together. Just a month later, the Grammy winner revealed that she suffered a miscarriage of her "miracle baby," but indicated that they "will continue trying to expand our beautiful family."

This is the third marriage for Spears, who shares sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
