Britney Spears gets new puppy from fiance Sam Asghari to 'protect' her

Britney Spears has a new furry friend in her life!

The pop star's fiancé, Sam Asghari, took to Instagram on Friday to reveal he'd "surprised" her with "our newest member to the Family": a new dog. The puppy, named Porsha, is of the Doberman breed.

In a video, Asghari explained that their new canine companion will be trained to "unconditionally love" Spears and "protect" her from those "with bad intentions."

The Grammy winner has been living it up ever since a judge suspended her father, Jamie Spears, from her conservatorship on Sept. 29. Spears' conservatorship has been in effect for 13 years.

Spears and Asghari announced their engagement on Sept. 12.

The "Toxic" singer previously expressed in a June court hearing her desire to "get married and have a baby," both of which she alleged she isn't able to do under her conservatorship.

Spears is mom to sons son Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, both of whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The next hearing for Spears' conservatorship is scheduled for Nov. 12. It will be focused on terminating her conservatorship for good.
