Ciara says giving birth to son Win was one of her 'greatest highlights' in 2020
She said he was "a lot of joy in the midst of the chaos and the storm."
At the top of the year, Ciara surprised fans when she announced she and her husband, Russell Wilson, were expecting their second child together.
As she looks forward to 2021, the R&B singer says giving birth to her new son, Win, was a highlight for this year.
"One of the greatest highlights of 2020 for me is that I gave birth to my little baby boy, Win, and I'm super proud of that moment," Ciara, 35, told ABC Audio. "[Especially] giving birth to him in the midst of a pandemic, [which is] just definitely unforgettable. But we did it, and thank God, he was a healthy baby."
The "Goodies" singer welcomed Win in July alongside her Seattle Seahawks quarterback husband, 32. After Win's birth, she even sang "Happy Birthday" to the little guy.
"Our son Win definitely brought us a lot of joy in the midst of the chaos and the storm," Ciara declared, adding that she was happy to celebrate "little bits of silver linings, in the midst of it all."
Ciara and Wilson, who have been married since July 2016, also share their 3-year-old daughter, Sienna. The "1, 2 Step" singer is also mom to 6-year-old son Future from a previous relationship.
Between being a new mom and running family businesses, Ciara is also working on her eighth studio album. On the lead single, a song titled "Rooted," she is joined by Ester Dean. Ciara's last album, "Beauty Marks," which she named after her independent label Beauty Marks Entertainment, was released in 2019.
