Courteney Cox and Ed Sheeran recreate the 'routine' from 'Friends'
The pair posted the video of their dance on Instagram.
Just when you thought you couldn’t get enough "Friends" content after the reunion -- there’s more.
On Sunday, Courteney Cox, who played Monica Gellar on the famous sitcom, and British singer Ed Sheeran posted a video to their respective Instagram accounts of them performing the iconic “routine” from the show together.
The routine is a dance performed by siblings Monica and Ross in the episode “The One With The Routine” from the show’s sixth season.
In the episode, Monica and Ross are attending a pretaping of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” The pair want to show up on TV when the taping airs but have to be on the raised dance platform to do so.
They plan to catch the attention of the guy in charge of selecting people for the platform with their “routine” -- a dance they performed together in middle school. What then ensues is a hilariously choreographed montage of dance moves.
Cox shared the video with the caption, “Just some routine dancing with a friend… @teddysphoto #ReRoutine,” while Sheeran said, “Had a reunion of our own this weekend @courteneycoxofficial #theroutine#iknow #friends4eva#obviouslybetterthanross.”
In the video, Cox and Sheeran dance in sync to the number before attempting the final move where Monica jumps into Ross’ arms. On the show, they accomplish it without fail, but in this remix, Cox and Sheeran fall to the ground while laughing.
"Friends: The Reunion" is out now.
